SUBMISSIONS:
We are currently accepting submissions with a view to possible publication in Spring / Autumn 2013.
In the first instance, please submit
FOR FICTION / CREATIVE NON-FICTION:
1) a concise but comprehensive synopsis of your piece of work (1-2 sides of A4 maximum). We need a full synopsis including endings.
2) the first 30 pages as an example of your style of writing.
3) a covering letter which should explain why you believe your writing sits comfortably with the Parthian list, and what additionality and breadth it offers the list.
4) We do not usually accept genre fiction of any kind or teenage fiction.
5) an SAE if you'd like us to return your submission. We are sorry but we are unable to return manuscripts without an SAE.
FOR POETRY:
Please note that we publish only a limited amount of poetry collections, and we do not publish poetry pamphlets. If you would like your work to be considered, please send us
1) an up-to-date biography, detailing your publishing/awards history to date. (We would expect prospective poets for our list to have built up a track record of publication in quality magazines, such as Poetry Wales, New Welsh Review, Planet, Poetry Review etc., or to have published a pamphlet with a respected small publisher.)
2) in the first instance, a poetry sampler of around 15-20 poems. The sampler should provide a clear indication of themes and approaches, and be representative of the overall quality of your work.
3) an SAE if you'd like us to return your submission. We are sorry but we are unable to return manuscripts without an SAE.
FICTION manuscripts should be sent as a hard copy to Kathryn Gray, Publishing Editor, 426 Grove Extension, Swansea University, Singleton Park, Swansea, SA2 8PP
